Last saturday I went to my aunt's house to celebrate my Grandma's birthday. Everyone brought along some food, I made some Peach Jelly. :) We took a lot of pictures but all of them are with my cousin's wife (sis-in-law). Maybe will get it from her soon. I took some pictures with my own cam too. My cousin's baby is very very cute. I held him most of the time. He's not very choosy and don't really care who carry him.

Dior photoshoot

I went for a photoshoot at Bintang Plaza on 15th August 2007 where I bought a voucher from Dior counter at Parkson,Bintang Plaza, Miri, and got to buy the products with the voucher and then free make-up session and photoshoot by non-local make up artist and photographer. I was there at about 6.54pm, then I bought some of the product before I went down to the ground floor of the mall for the make-up. Just imagine thousand pair of eyes were on me when I was make-up. Then I did my hair and proceed to the corner with Dior ad for the photoshoot.It's kinda fun when the photographer asked me to pose and I was too nervous until I don't know how to smile and he said that my face looks no feeling one...haha...he said I look a little like the Taiwanese singer and actress,Barbie Hsu (Big S)....well, I just got one photo from them which I paid for RM20 for this A4 size..the rest I will upload soon after I get it next month.

Relationship

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The father asked his son, "What is this?"

The son replied, "It is a crow".

After a few minutes, the father asked his son the 2nd time, "What is this?"

The son said, "father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".

After a little while, the old father again asked his son the 3rd time, what is this?"

At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the son's tone when he said to his father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow".

A little after, the father again asked his son t he 4th time, "What is this?"

This time the son shouted at his father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his son was born. On opening a page, he asked his son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary: -

"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".

While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the father asked his son the same question just 4 times, the son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".

Nothing in this world is IMPOSSIBLE, 'cos the word IMPOSSIBLE itself says

Well, I don't really know Sarawak well enough, but I can give a little comment on something though.

I've been living in Miri ever since I was born. People in Miri can consider warm and friendly. There are different races living in Miri, such as Iban, Melanau, Bidayuh, Sikh, Kayan, Penan, Malay, Indian, Chinese, Lun Bawang, Saban, Kedayan, Kelabit, and so on.

Miri is like a small city, we have shopping complexes, open market, pasar malam,seafood restaurants, fast food outlets such as KFC and McDonald, slimming and beauty centres, and many more.

Good Food in Miri

Miri city council is extremely pro-active in ensuring food hygiene in Miri. Each coffee shop would be given a grade on the cleanliness of its premises. plus, it's mandatory to boil water for any drinks, be it hot drinks or cold drinks so that's a good sign.

First of all, there are nice Seafood outlets in Miri. In Tanjung Lobang (beach), they have variety of food stalls. From Chinese stalls to Satay corner. Chinese food stalls offer delicious seafood and other Chinese food. In the heart of Miri City, there's place called Apollo Seafood Restaurant ( I guess, I can't really remember the exact name but people only refers it as 'Apollo'). They have fresh seafood too. House specialty is the Drunken Prawn. They throw in live fresh water prawn into Chinese rice wine and boil it. Although I don't eat seafood (yes, since young, i just don't like the smell...) I can still bring friends from other places to eat at nice seafood restaurant. ^^

There's a restaurant near Pujut area (housing estate, about 10 to 15 minutes ride from town), it's a seafood restaurant too, they have this popular demand dish " Curry Fish Head ", it's superb! (ok, ok, I don't eat seafood, but i only eat fish..hehe..) I LOVE the taste of the pure curry. Very nice.

Dim Sum. Dim Sum at Grand Place. The most expensive Dim Sum but worth every bite. Only on weekend.
Dim Sum at a coffee shop called 'Wawasan 2020' are nice too.

Kolok Mee. At the open-air market at night. They serve it with delicious steam chicken. This is the old stall in the market. In the morning, they have this delicious 'lau su fen' (mee tikus). Ever since I was young, my parent will bring me and my sis to this stall. I would ordered the large size.

Bak Kut Teh. At Good Taste Bak Kut Teh Restaurant at Jalan Krokop. Serve only Bak Kut Teh. I tried it a few times, it's delicious.

Well, there are always good food in Miri, just that I don't have the time yet to try them all...(i always eat at home..mum's cooking is the BEST~)

1. I love Naruto. Since the time I watched it with my sis, watching Naruto became my favorite pass time, and watch it together with my sibling is a lot of fun. We have our own favorite characters too. I'm crazy about Rock Lee, my sister likes Shikamaru and i think my bro enjoy watching Kakashi in action. And I think Elizabeth likes Sasuke (the bad guy).

2. I ever think of my future. After I got married (yes, my boyfriend proposed to me sometime ago, and we'll go to the registration office to register next week) and if I'm going to have a son, I'll name him Rocco *wink* and for a daughter, Rosabelle.

3. I love to shop. Well, that doesn't mean i like spending money on useless things. I like to bring my mum out for groceries shopping. Spend time choosing some nice carrots, and stand back watching my mum rushes to snatch some cheap garlics with all the aunties.

4. I hate cockroaches. Everyone in my family hates it too. Even my sister, twice my size, flees whenever she sees one.

5. I'm very forgetful. Whenever someone asks me to do something for them, i have to do it immediately or else, i'll forget all about it. And I'm a slow-thinker too. I'm not going to talk about it. Sad.

6. I love dogs. I have a pet Chihuahua, Bambi. He's cute and smart as well. And sometime, he can be very lazy.

The Four Men Women Need

Well, judging by the title, i suppose some will know what i mean if they did watch the show on NTV 7 , last saturday. I'm not sure what's the name of the show, but the host was the actor from hongkong, Michael Hui (许冠文) , he was giving talks to the audience on stage in Hong Kong i guess. He was real funny.

I watch it halfway thru though..

He said, in this world, there are four needs in woman that a man will never satisfied them. What I mean is, the four needs will never come together in a man, like, maybe they can only satisfy them in 3 needs or two but not all.

Here goes...

1. The Millionaire
Women loves to shop, that's why a rich man will do. Once they needs money,
there's no question ask, the money is on their way.
And most often, this kind of men is call, Godfather. He's too old for sex, so we only need their
money.

2. The Housekeeper
Women need men to do all the housework at home such as fixing the pipe, changing the bulb,
walk the dog and so on. That's why they need a men who can take care of the house for them, better yet, bring the children out to the park.

3. The "duck"
Women need SEX, and not every husband can satisfy their wife everytime with continually
sex. That's why they need a 'duck' or gigolo to satisfy them where you pay for what you need.

4. The gay
Women loves to nag, nag, nag. That's why they need someone to listen to them with all their
heart. That's why they need someone who can sit quietly and listen to what they have to say.
And most often, this kind of man will be a gay. They never complain or talk back at you. They
will always listen to what you have to say and agree with you.

Now, can a man really satisfy his wife in this four needs? Ok, let say, your husband is a millionaire, and he can satisfy you in bed, but can he listen to what you have to say all day long and still help you in your housework?

Never a man can satisfy their woman in all this four needs, but if they really do, then it will be a suffer for them as they are force by their wife in doing it.

Now, i found it very interesting listening to Michael's talk. What he said was very real. Living in this world, not everyone is perfect. That's why, he said, husband and wife can live happily ever after is to give and take, to respect each others decisions and to trust in each other.

I just got all the photos which i took when i was in KL from my sis..
I went to KL in May for shopping.. haha

On the first day, we went to Sunway Piramid, i bought a few clothes. We went for a drink at A&W as there's no A&W Restaurant in Miri. After a few hours of shopping, me and my love wait for my sister and her love to come and pick us up for dinner just opposite Sunway. I think we can actually walk across the street but since it's raining, we just wait at the Starbucks for them.

Shikamaru Nara (My youngest sister's favourite)

"Shika" means deer (鹿), and "-maru" (丸) means "round", "circle", or "well-developed", but is commonly used as a suffix in boys' names. The names "Ino", "Shika" and "Cho" are also a pun on the "Ino-Shika-Cho" winning combination in Hanafuda. His surname, Nara, is taken from Nara ko-en (Nara Park), a park famous for deer whose antlers are used for medicines. Nara was also the era when Buddhism was introduced to Japan. The Buddhist monasteries founded in the Nara Prefecture took the deer as their symbolic protector, and made hunting deer illegal in the prefecture. "Nara" also refers to maple, which is the plant associated with the shika card in Hanafuda.

In Shonen Jump's character popularity polls, Shikamaru has been in the Top 10 since the third poll and is usually in the 4th or 5th place. In the most recent poll, however, he was placed 10th. He is the only character on his team to make it to the top 10.

Personality

Shikamaru is an extremely unenthusiastic person, and as such lives his life avoiding work. This is partly due to seeking paths of least resistance, as he often chooses to do things he would otherwise not do if people nag him enough, as he does as Ino says because "she throws a fit if she doesn't have her way." His plans on life reflect this aspect of his personality, as he plans to be an average ninja making an average salary, and retire once his children become independent. In his free time he typically takes naps, watches clouds, and plays thinking games such as Shogi and Go. When put into a situation where he potentially needs to put effort into something, he attempts to try to find a way to avoid it such as forfeiting a battle or by pretending to be preoccupied with something else. In the instances where he can't avoid these situations, Shikamaru tends to remark "how troublesome" (めんどくせぇ, mendokusē, English TV "what a drag"). He is fully aware of this side of his personality, and even dubs himself "the number one at running away" or "the number one coward".

Despite his cowardly tendencies, Shikamaru is extremely intelligent. Asuma, wondering why Shikamaru was always able to beat him at Shogi and Go despite receiving abysmal grades at the Academy, disguised an IQ test as a series of puzzles to see how smart Shikamaru really was. In doing so, Asuma found Shikamaru to have an IQ of over 200, and learned that Shikamaru's poor grades were a result of him finding the lifting of a pencil to be too troublesome. Nevertheless, Shikamaru works very well with his teammates as their fathers were teamed together in their youth as well. Of his teammates, Shikamaru is closest with Choji, who repays Shikamaru's confidence in him with unyielding loyalty to Shikamaru.

One of Shikamaru's more distinctive characteristics is that he finds all women to be bossy and "troublesome". This viewpoint seems to be largely due to his mother's tyrannical personality, though also seems to be influenced by his father's identical view of women. Contrary to this opinion on women, he has expressed a notably mature interest in marriage and raising a family with one son and one daughter.

Ironically, almost all of Shikamaru's opponents have been women. Likewise, Shikamaru has had a number of his appearances coincide with those of Temari. The two face each other during the final matches of the Chunin Exams, where Shikamaru forfeits his match instead of defeating Temari, knowing that he has too little chakra to continue. Temari later comes to his aid during the Sasuke Retrieval arc and defeats Tayuya to save him. Shikamaru returns the favor in the last of the anime's filler arcs and saves her from one of the Shiitenshounin. In addition, the two are seen together in their Part II debuts. In this instance, Naruto asks if the two are on a date, though both make it clear that this is not the case.

Abilities

When the need arises, Shikamaru is quick to abandon his lazy nature and act appropriately to complete a mission or save his teammates. Using his Shadow Imitation Technique he can capture the shadow of an opponent to either keep them immobile or force them to mimic his movements. This ability causes Shikamaru to frequently play the part of stalling enemies so that his comrades can get to safety or to simply buy time. Although this role puts him in a dangerous position once he can no longer stall the opponent, Shikamaru is more than willing to serve it, feeling that sacrificing his life to ensure the safety of his friends is worth it. While he frequently exercises this sense of self-sacrifice, his genius has thus far allowed him to escape these encounters relatively unscathed. When given the chance, Shikamaru puts his fingers together to create a circle and closes his eyes so that he can concentrate. While in this pose he considers every element that is relevant to the situation at hand and analyzes the information to its fullest. Once finished, Shikamaru is able to plan out a battle ten moves in advance and can devise over a hundred strategies to use against an opponent.

This combination of intelligence and dedication to his teammates causes Shikamaru to become the first of the Konoha Genin to advance to the rank of Chunin. As such, Shikamaru is forced to lead his fellow Genin in their various missions, first seen during the Sasuke Retrieval arc. At the end of this mission most of Shikamaru's team is left gravely injured and their target manages to escape, causing the mission to be a complete failure. While he starts to question his capability to be a leader in this instance, he realizes, with help from his father, that if he steps down, he is passing on the responsibility to a potentially less able successor who may not be able to keep his team alive. Shikamaru resolves to never put his team in danger again. During the anime's filler arcs Shikamaru is assigned as an instructor at the Ninja Academy, and also proves to be much more comfortable with his leadership position. During the Chunin Exams at the start of Part II Shikamaru also serves as one of the exam's proctors.

Once becoming a Chunin, Shikamaru's father teaches him how to use the Shadow Neck Bind Technique, allowing him to use his shadow to have more interaction with an opponent by using it to choke an opponent. This more interactive capability with his shadow is put to great use over the timeskip, and by Part II's start he can use Shadow Sewing (影縫い, Kage Nui), which allows his shadow to lift from the ground and either grab and throw weapons or simply pierce an opponent. He also starts to be able to utilize an opponent's shadow for the same purpose with Shadow Summoning Technique (影寄せの術, Kageyose no Jutsu), allowing him to use their own shadow against them. After he comes into the possession of Asuma's trench knives, Shikamaru creates the Shuriken Shadow Imitation Technique (影真手裏似の術, Kagemane Shuriken no Jutsu^?). By channeling his shadow into the knives, Shikamaru obtains a portable source of immobilization that he need only throw at an opponent's shadow to capture them and save himself the energy. Likewise, Shikamaru becomes able to use multiple shadow-based techniques at once, predominately involving the use of one of his new abilities to restrain a target and follow up with the Shadow Imitation Technique to capture them.

As a result of his early advance to the rank of Chunin, Shikamaru plays a considerably more active role in the plot than most of the Konoha Genin, albeit more indirectly than the primary cast. His first assignment as a Chunin is to assemble a team to retrieve Sasuke and defeat his escorts, the Sound Four. While his teammates defeat their enemies, Sasuke is able to escape despite their best efforts. Nevertheless, Shikamaru has held onto this incomplete assignment, and is determined to help bring Sasuke back to Konoha someday. In Part II, Shikamaru is assigned to track down two members of Akatsuki. While he and his team manage to find their targets with relative ease, Akatsuki member Hidan is able to kill Asuma during the course of the battle. After Asuma's funeral, Shikamaru sets out with the surviving members of Team 10 to avenge their sensei. As his team deals with Hidan's partner, Shikamaru is able to defeat Hidan in Asuma's memory, weakening Akatsuki by one member.

Kurenai Yuhi

The name "Yuhi" means "evening sun" and "Kurenai" means "crimson". Kurenai's red lipstick is kind of a pun on her own name. The kanji for "Kurenai" can also be read as "beni" which is a word used for red makeup used traditionally in Japan to color the lips red.

Little is known about Kurenai; she graduated from the Academy at the age of 9, became a Chunin at the age of 13, and became a Jonin soon before the series' start. Prior to the formation of Team 8, Kurenai taught a student named Yakumo Kurama. Yakumo had little control over her unique abilities, and could cast genjutsu strong enough to kill others. Because of this, Kurenai was forced to seal her ability to cast genjutsu due to the danger she imposed, and because of this Yakumo was no longer able to be a ninja. Yakumo would years later attempt to seek revenge on Kurenai for this, though in time came to realize that she had done the right thing. It was revealed in a flashback that she was also an instructor at the Ninja Academy when she was a Chunin to Shikamaru and Sasuke.

Although she gets along well with all of her students, Kurenai seems to be especially close with Hinata. Once Hinata was assigned to Team 8, her father left her in Kurenai's care, and as such takes on the role of a parent for Hinata. She has since tried to help Hinata overcome her inability to stick up for herself, and in time begins to see success. She is also aware of Hinata's feelings for Naruto, and does her best to try to overcome Naruto's obliviousness to these feelings by encouraging him to help Hinata when he can.

It is heavily hinted that Kurenai is romantically involved with Asuma Sarutobi. The two appear together in most of their scenes, and the other characters make it a point to note this fact on several occasions. When Kakashi finds the two together at a dumpling shop, Kakashi asks if they are on a date, to which Kurenai responds by blushing. In a flashback, Asuma is shown buying flowers for a person he refuses to name, though Ino asks that he say hello to Kurenai for her anyway. During Asuma's battle with Akatsuki, Kurenai is often shown wondering about his progress and eventual fate. When she learns of his death, she falls to her knees in grief, and later lays flowers on his grave during his funeral. The truth of their relationship is made clear in Part II when it is revealed that Kurenai is pregnant with Asuma's child.

Kurenai specializes in genjutsu, and as seen in the Kurama Clan arc is very proficient with it. Through the use of her Demonic Illusion: Tree Bind Death (魔幻・樹縛殺 Magen: Jubaku Satsu) Kurenai can disappear and sneak up on an opponent unnoticed. Once she has done so she creates the illusion of tree growing around the opponent to effectively immobilize them, allowing her to appear from the tree to kill them as she pleases. The Kurama Clan arc shows Kurenai capable of using this jutsu multiple times in a row, as well as being able to create any kind of foliage with which to capture the opponent.

Hinata Hyuga

"Hyuga" (日向) means "toward the sun" and is the name of a city in the Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan. "Hinata" is a pun, as it is another way to read this kanji and means "a sunny place".

Hinata generally ranks among the top ten in Shonen Jump's character popularity polls. She placed 10th in the first Naruto manga anniversary poll, placed 6th in the second and third polls, and 9th in the fifth poll.

Hinata was born as the eldest daughter of the Hyuga clan's main branch. When she was younger,a Kumogakure diplomat attempted to kidnap her in order to learn the secrets of the Hyuga clan's abilities. Hinata's father, Hiashi Hyuga, was able to save her and kill the kidnapper, though the repercussions of this act forced her uncle, Hizashi Hyuga, to sacrifice his life for the good of the clan. In light of this, Hinata was trained by her father to become the clan's heiress, though in time he came to deem her a lost cause. Believing her to be of lesser skill than her younger sister, Hanabi Hyuga, her father left Hinata in Kurenai Yuhi's care once she was assigned to Team 8, claiming he didn't care what happened to her.

Personality
At the start of the series, Hinata lacks self-confidence and the willingness to fight. Although she would train more than anyone else in order to improve her skills, she would immediately give up when faced with competition and failed every mission she was assigned as a result. In an attempt to change herself, Hinata entered the Chunin Exam. When pit against her cousin, Neji Hyuga, in the exam's preliminary matches, Neji is quick to ridicule Hinata for her personality traits and attempts to convince her that she is a failure who will never be able to change herself.

While Neji's words bring her to tears, Naruto's encouragement empowers her to fight her cousin despite the injuries she has sustained. Although she is defeated, Naruto's words have a lasting effect on Hinata and she becomes more confident in her abilities. Before collapsing after her fight with Neji, she attempts to turn the tables on him and explain that he is actually the one hopelessly fighting his destiny, her first attempt at sticking up for herself. As she is carried away to recover, she attempts to ask Naruto if she changed at all during the battle, though loses consciousness before she can do so.

After her recovery, Hinata continues training, to prove herself to her father and Naruto. Her efforts are successful in both regards, as she is eventually able to acquire a better relationship with her father. Naruto has also come to hold her in a higher standing, and he tells her that while he had considered her timid and weird before, he now views her as a likable person. She also has a much better relationship with Neji, who acts kindly towards her, and even trains with her in the anime. This marks the beggining change in Hinata's personality, although it doesn't show that much.

Hinata has a long-standing crush on Naruto Uzumaki, which has been present since their time in the Academy and is characterized by her watching him from a distance. This stands as a rather glaring exception in the series, as no other girl around Naruto's age has displayed anything of the sort for him. Her feelings for him are rooted in his determination and confidence, both of which are traits Hinata severely lacks. Despite the rather obviousness of her feelings, Hinata has yet to openly admit that she likes Naruto, though many characters have shown to be aware of her feelings. In a similar fashion, Naruto has thus far remained completely oblivious to Hinata's attempts at impressing him; he has said several things that make Hinata seem to think otherwise, although they were merely flukes or misunderstandings.

With her affection for Naruto, Hinata is constantly willing to break away from her normal personality traits in order to help him. One such example is during the written portion of the Chunin Exams, where she offers Naruto a chance to copy the answers off of her paper. Although he appreciates the offer, Naruto turns her down in fear of getting her in trouble if they get caught. Further examples are seen throughout the anime filler arcs, where she uncharacteristically insists that Naruto go on missions with Team 8 in order to help him cope with the loss of Sasuke Uchiha.

In addition to shifting personalities for Naruto, she also doesn't hesitate to defend him, even to himself. When he starts questioning his abilities prior to the final rounds of the Chunin Exam, Hinata insists that his willingness to prove himself is an admirable trait and makes him truly strong. Her confidence in Naruto is seen again in the Land of Vegetables arc when Naruto is demeaned by the princess they're assigned to protect. Hinata defends Naruto, saying that he has never thought of abandoning people to save himself and works hard to gain respect and become the next Hokage.

Her feelings for Naruto are one of the driving forces in her self-improvement, as she tries to gain strength in an attempt to both impress him and become a better person. When he leaves Konoha at the end of Part I, Hinata watches him from behind a pole, vowing to get stronger by the next time they meet.

As a member of the Hyuga clan, Hinata possesses the Byakugan, which gives her an almost 360° field of vision. During the Chunin Exams, she displays the ability to focus the Byakugan's sight, increasing the distance that her eyes can see. She also specializes in the Gentle Fist fighting style, which allows her to damage her opponent's chakra circulatory system and inner organs directly with even a slight tap.

In her quest to get stronger, Hinata begins training to create a new ability, which consists of manipulating water to sprout in an orb around her. Her training manifests itself during the Bikochu filler arc in the form of Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms (守護八卦六十四掌, Shugohakke Rokujūyon Shō), a combination of the Hyuga clan's most powerful techniques. With it Hinata emits streams of chakra from her palms to create extremely sharp blades that she can use to hit any target in her field of vision. Due to the speed at which these blades move, the amount of control she has over them, as well as her ability to manipulate their size, Hinata can use this to technique to attack and defend simultaneously. Over the timeskip she rises to the rank of Chunin, indicating that her training has been effective in making her stronger.

Shino Aburame

Shino is a mysterious character, never having had his background prior to joining Team 8 explored and appearing very infrequently. This mysterious quality carries over to Shino himself, as he is characterized by his emotionless, solitary, and collected way of doing things. He speaks very bluntly and never allows emotion to interfere with his judgment, sometimes offending people in doing so. His wardrobe only adds to the mystery as he is constantly wearing sunglasses and clothing that covers much of his face. By the start of Part II, the only visible part of Shino is the area around his eyes, making it almost impossible to recognize him. Despite this, Shino becomes very annoyed with Naruto when the latter proves unable to recognize him while at the same time instantly recognizes Kiba and Hinata.

Shino seems to be aware of these odd personality traits and even seems to be proud of them, as seen during one of the anime's filler arcs. When he eats food poisoned with a chemical that induces laughter and laughs incessantly, a display that cannot be a proper indicator of his emotion, he menacingly tells Naruto to forget it. His interest in bugs only helps him strengthen this viewpoint; by spending most of his spare time watching bugs and often making analogies to bugs when talking, people have come to identify Shino as "creepy" and tend to dislike being in his company. Naruto does not get along with Shino, and wonders how Kiba and Hinata can stand being on his team.

Despite his odd persona and occasionally arguing with Kiba, Shino has a very strong sense of connection with his teammates and allies, first seen when he regrets being unavailable and therefore unable to help with retrieving Sasuke. From that point further he resolves to work on his teamwork skills with Kiba and Hinata. He even helps Hinata to improve her abilities, and is one of the few people besides Naruto who openly professes confidence in her. The fruits of his efforts are seen throughout the filler arcs where Shino is able to carry out a mission successfully while also keeping others safe. He also proves to be able to understand his teammates' inner workings, being able to sense when the slightest of things is wrong with either of them. Shino becomes team leader when Kurenai is hospitalized, and Kiba and Hinata respect his leadership.

In battle, Shino is able to take great use of his intelligence, being able to use his analytical and observational skills to make shrewd judgments with pinpoint reasoning. Like Shikamaru Nara, Shino prevails in battles by systematically staying steps ahead of the enemy. Because of this, Shino is fairly confident in his abilities and that he will win a battle, and tends to try to communicate this to an opponent for their own well-being. Still, Shino enjoys fighting and dislikes being denied a chance to battle a skilled opponent, as seen when he goes out of his way during the invasion of Konoha to fight Kankuro after he forfeited to avoid revealing his puppets' secrets.

As a member of the Aburame clan, Shino was infused at birth with a special breed of insects that feed on chakra. In return, the insects attack and do other tasks as he commands. Shino has found a number of uses for these bugs, and as such has devised a number of jutsu that utilize them for varying purposes. The first of these jutsu that is seen is his Bug Clone Technique (蟲分身の術 Mushi Bunshin no Jutsu), which uses the bugs to create a copy of himself that is able to reform once struck. The anime expands upon the bugs' uses with a number of defensive techniques, such as using Bug Wall Technique (蟲壁の術 Mushi Kabe no Jutsu) to create a protective wall of insects to shield himself or his allies. Bug Jar Technique (蟲瓶の術 Mushi Kame no Jutsu) serves a similar purpose by having bugs fly around him at high speeds to act as a shield from incoming attacks. Should he run short on insects, Shino can use Bug Gathering Technique (蟲寄せの術 Mushi Yose no Jutsu) to create a web-like array of chakra that lures nearby bugs to him. His bugs, as well as his fighting style, have allowed him to progress to the rank of Chunin over the timeskip.

Kiba Inuzuka and Akamaru

Kiba Inuzuka (犬塚キバ, Inuzuka Kiba) is a member of Kurenai Yuhi's Team 8, consisting of himself, Shino Aburame, and Hinata Hyuga.

The name "Inuzuka", meaning "house of dogs", belongs to a clan that was one of the most powerful in the Chiba prefecture in Japan during the Edo period. They were known as "dog warriors" and worshiped Inu ("Dog"), a deity representing the zodiac sign of the dog. The name "Inuzuka" also originates from Hakkenden a novel about a dog samurai. "Kiba" literally means "fang".

Kiba's my favourite too, although at first glance, Kiba comes off as a loud and head-strong person who thinks highly of himself. While these perceptions are factual to a degree, Kiba is in actuality a friendly individual who cares deeply for those close to him. This is first seen during the Chunin Exams where he encourages Hinata to forfeit if she is matched against a strong opponent, fearing that she'll be hurt if she decides to fight. This particular trait is seen frequently throughout the anime's filler arcs, such as when Kiba becomes upset that Kurenai is leaving Team 8 and is later overjoyed when she returns. Kiba can also recognize when he is hampering his teammates' progress, and always makes it a point to prevent the inhibition in the future when it arises.

Kiba's strongest bond exists with his dog Akamaru, who he has had since he was a puppy. The two have an almost symbiotic relationship and are almost always seen together, usually enjoying their hobby of taking a walk. This large amount of time they spend together allows for Kiba to not notice Akamaru's growth with the passage of time; when Kiba makes his debut in Part II riding atop Akamaru and is questioned about Akamaru's dramatic increase in size (Akamaru having sat upon Kiba's head in Part I), Kiba replies that he hadn't noticed a difference. Kiba himself has acquired a few dog-life qualities from the time he has spent with Akamaru, such as being able to understand Akamaru and disliking any food that he can't chew on. Kiba's devotion to Akamaru runs very deep, and he is more than willing to risk his own life if it means saving Akamaru's.

In addition to finding a friend in Akamaru, Kiba also uses Akamaru as a valuable ally in battle. Because Akamaru is naturally better equipped for combat, Kiba typically starts a battle by using Four Legs Technique (四脚の術, Shikyaku no Jutsu, English TV "All-Fours Jutsu") to make himself more animalistic. Predominately, this jutsu increases his speed and strength, lengthens his nails to claw-like quality, and, as the name suggests, causes him to travel using his arms and legs. In addition, Kiba can gather chakra to his nose to exponentially increase his sense of smell, allowing him to pick up on the faintest of scents. Once doing this, however, Kiba is forced to endure whatever odors he comes across, and something as simple as a fart can leave him paralyzed due to his heightened senses.

Once he has prepared himself for battle, Kiba has a number of ways to proceed with a battle. He can use Beast Human Clone (獣人分身, Jūjin Bunshin, English TV "Man Beast Clone") to transform Akamaru into himself, allowing the two to take away an opponent's ability to focus on only one of them. With Double Piercing Fang (牙通牙, Gatsūga, English TV "Fang Over Fang") Kiba and Akamaru can charge at opponents at high speeds in a spinning maneuver to increase damage, or perform the same action by themselves with Piercing Fang (通牙, Tsūga). The two can even combine efforts with Man Beast Combination Transformation: Double-Headed Wolf (人獣混合変化・双頭狼, Jinjū Konbi Henge: Sōtōrō) to transform themselves into a single, large, two-headed wolf. While in this form their Double Piercing Fang is renamed Double Wolf Fang (牙狼牙, Garōga) due to the increased speed the transformation allows them, and the attack itself becomes capable of severing a person in two. The attack, however, is not without its drawbacks; its speed leaves the two unable to see their target, forcing them to rely on their sense of smell, and the sheer impact of the attack leaves them both badly injured, and after using it twice neither is able to continue fighting.

Rock Lee (ロック・リー, Rokku Rī) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto & Naruto:Shippuuden created by Masashi Kishimoto. He is a member of Might Guy's Team Guy, consisting of himself, Neji Hyuga, and Tenten.

According to an interview with Masashi Kishimoto in Shonen Jump's Naruto Anime Profiles Episodes 1-37, Rock Lee is his most fun character to draw. He also has stated that Sakura and Rock Lee were meant to symbolize human weakness (at least in the beginning). Like Guy, Lee is modeled after the martial artist, Bruce Lee.

In Shonen Jump's character popularity polls, Lee consistently ranked in the Top 10 in the first four polls, even making the Top 5 once. In the more current polls, however, Lee has fallen out of the Top 10 due to his lack of recent appearances. Despite this, he still ranks at a relatively high position.

Background
Since at a young age, Lee has been unable to mold his chakra, leaving him unable to use any ninjutsu or genjutsu. This lead his fellow Academy students to tease him for his handicap, though Lee ignored their words and began specializing in taijutsu, hoping to become a powerful ninja despite his inability. Upon being assigned to Team Guy, Might Guy took a personal interest in Lee's attempts to prove himself and began to help him in his dream of excelling in taijutsu. With Guy's assistance Lee began to learn many advanced taijutsu abilities, bringing him ever closer to achieving his goal of becoming a splendid ninja.

Personality
Lee is best known for speaking respectfully to others and never using contractions. He also uses formal Japanese, applying proper titles ("-san", "-kun", etc.) to anyone he meets. His relationship with Guy has also caused him to acquire many of Guy's traits. Lee's green jumpsuit and shiny bowl haircut, having already had Guy's distinctive thick eyebrows, are direct results of his modeling himself in his sensei's image. In Part II he even begins wearing a tactical vest like Guy, the only difference being that Guy leaves his unzipped. Guy's influence has also caused the reshaping of Lee's personality, and his dedication to his promises as well as his belief that one cannot dislike food are also characteristics of Guy.

Lee has a number of other odd personality traits, though whether or not they are results of Guy's mentorship is unknown. One such trait is his apparent lack of common sense, believing at times that he can get what he wants by not wanting it and other times failing to realize that he will be unable to check his notes during a fight. He also has a sense of honor, refusing to hold grudges against those who have defeated him and even returning favors to those that have helped him.

Lee's attempts to prove and better himself are recurring themes for his actions throughout the series, which is initially most evident with Neji Hyuga. Neji, a "genius," at the series' start finds Lee's efforts of bettering himself to be in vain, believing Lee to be stuck as a "failure" for the rest of his life. As such, Lee resolves to prove Neji wrong, and confronts another "genius," Sasuke Uchiha in an attempt to test his worth. While Lee maintains the desire to defeat Neji in a fight throughout the Chunin Exams, Neji's eventual defeat by Naruto Uzumaki, another "failure", seems to make him lose interest in this particular goal.

During his battle with Gaara during the Chunin Exams, Lee's attempts to prove himself go awry. Gaara's abilities make all of Lee's attacks ineffective, and Lee's attempts at using his more powerful techniques to defeat Gaara leave his body broken. After Gaara's attacks further damage his body, Lee is left in an incurable state where he can no longer pursue life as a ninja. When Guy finds an operation for him that will return him to his former state, though carries the possibility of causing his death, Lee is hesitant to accept the operation. While he can't stand the thought of not living as a ninja, he also can't stand the idea that he will die before he can fully prove himself. Through Guy's encouragement and words of dedication to him, Lee goes through with the operation and survives, causing his resolve to get stronger to only increase.

Soon after his introduction, Lee reveals that he likes Sakura Haruno. While she does not share these feelings for him, Lee maintains these feelings throughout the Chunin Exams, even coming to her rescue and using forbidden techniques in an attempt to protect her. After the Exams' conclusion, however, Lee's interest in Sakura goes largely unaddressed, the only other exhibition of these feelings being seen during the anime's filler arcs where he is unable to attack Naruto while he is disguised as Sakura. Likewise, unlike all of the other crushes seen throughout the series, Lee has yet to give a reason for his interest in Sakura.

Abilities

Guy's influence has also influenced Lee's training habits, which, coupled with with his hard-working resolve, has allowed Lee to rapidly get stronger. When making a promise, for example, Lee assigns himself arduous tasks to complete in the event that he doesn't provide, such as running 500 laps or having races over extremely long distances. Since Guy began training him, Lee has worn heavy weights on his ankles, increasing his strength and improving the force of his kicks at the cost of inhibiting his speed. Upon removing the weights, Lee's speed greatly increases, making it almost impossible to see his movements and allowing him to catch fast-moving objects in midair. As such, the removal of his weights is a huge trump card for Lee, and in regular situations doing so can all but guarantee victory. Lee has also been trained to run and even fight in his sleep, using nothing but pure muscle memory. Over the timeskip he becomes a Chunin, indicating his training has paid off well.

Through Guy's teachings, Lee has learned many powerful taijutsu techniques. The most basic of these is his Strong Fist style of combat, which allows his punches and kicks to do considerably more damage than they would ordinarily. Lee has also learned how to open the first five chakra gates, a feat that is difficult for even the most talented ninja. Because opening the gates and using the jutsu that require their opening is dangerous for the user, Lee is only permitted to use them in life-or-death situations or when protecting someone dear.

Lee has manifested a natural predisposition towards the Drunken Fist (酔拳, Suiken), a unique battle style that can't be learned or taught and is reminiscent of the actual Zui Quan martial art (Drunken Fist). When he drinks as little as one drop of alcohol, he becomes an unpredictable and unstoppable force of destruction and chaos. His actions while drunk are usually a combination of misguided attempts to impress Guy, regardless of whether or not Guy is around, and he drunkenly attacks any friend or foe that is near him. When drunk, his moves have an extra edge of unpredictability to them, which when coupled with his already formidable taijutsu skills makes him a force to be reckoned with. Guy explains that after Lee accidentally drank a small amount of sake during a congratulatory dinner, he proceeded to lay waste to the pub they were in, and it took the combined efforts of Guy and Neji to hold him down.

Tenten (テンテン, Tenten) (romanized as Ten Ten in the English anime) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto & Naruto: Shippuuden created by Masashi Kishimoto. She is a member of Might Guy's Team Guy, consisting of herself, Neji Hyuga, and Rock Lee.

In some foreign subtitles, Tenten has been referred to as Ama, from the term "Ama kudari", which means "descending from heaven". This has caused some fans to mistakenly conclude that "Ama" is her last name.

The name "Tenten" means here and there. Repeating the same syllable twice is a popular naming scheme for pandas; her odango hairstyle also resembles panda ears. "Tenten" can also refer to the small double marks that appear on Japanese hiragana and katakana to change the pronunciation of certain characters (for example, "ta" [た] becomes "da" [だ] with the addition of "tenten"). Tenten can also mean heavenly, which could refer to her usage of jutsu that involve jumping into the air. Tenten's name may also be a pun on her uncanny accuracy.

In an interview in the Second Official Databook, Masashi Kishimoto states that, out of the four central Konoha kunoichi, Tenten would be his type "because [he likes] her design".

Personality

Of the central Naruto characters, Tenten is seen the least, and as such little is known about her. In the manga, her battle with Temari during the Chunin Exams is almost entirely skipped, with her match's start and her eventual defeat being the only things shown. In her few brief appearances, Tenten has been shown to strongly believe that female ninja can be as skilled as male ninja. As such, her goal in life is to someday be as great as Tsunade.

In the anime filler arcs Tenten is seen a bit more and proves to be quite ditzy. In the Hidden Star Village arc she attempts to follow someone while using a barrel with an eyehole as a disguise and in the Final Filler arc she is unable to participate because she was already on a mission but attacks Lee for not being invited anyways.

Abilities

Tenten specializes in weaponry. According to Might Guy, she can hit a bullseye 100 out of 100 times. Tenten carries these weapons in a number of scrolls, though in Part II, she instead carries a single large scroll. Tenten primarily uses Projectile Weapons (飛道具, Tobidōgu) in battle, allowing her to draw weapons from those scrolls. She has occasionally launched kunai directly from her scrolls at a force as though they had been thrown in a manner similar to rhythmic gymnastics. In Part I her arsenal is composed mostly of steel projectiles, though in Part II she is shown using a spiked bomb. In the anime, Tenten has also conjured close-combat weapons from her scrolls, such as a bo staff, tonfas and even a heavy flail, as well as displayed expert knowledge on the use of exploding tags.

Tenten's most powerful weapon summoning technique is Twin Rising Dragons (双昇龍 Sōshōryū, English TV "Rising Twin Dragons"), which rapidly summons dozens of weapons so that Tenten may throw them at an opponent in quick succession. The weapons are tied to Tenten's fingers with thin, nearly-invisible strings, allowing Tenten to throw them again should she miss. Tenten frequently uses this ability to help Neji train with his Eight Trigrams Palm Heavenly Spin. Tenten's accuracy seems to have allowed her extra benefits, as the anime's Konoha 11 arc shows her to be a keen observer that can pick up on facts others overlook. Over the timeskip, she rises to the rank of Chunin.

Neji Hyuga (日向ネジ, Hyūga Neji) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto & Naruto Shippuuden created by Masashi Kishimoto. He is a member of Might Guy's Team Guy, consisting of himself, Rock Lee, and Tenten.

Neji is the only known Hyuga clan member whose first name does not start with a kana from the Ha-gyō (ha (ハ), hi (ヒ), fu (フ), he (ヘ), or ho (ホ)). His name means "Screw", "Spiral", or "Helix", which probably refers to his Heavenly Spin technique. Neji uses a style similar to Baguazhang and has techniques containing "Eight Trigrams Palm" in their names. His name also bears resemblance to Nèijiā, a Chinese Martial arts style that is known for "soft" style and its emphasis on "internal power" rather than "external power", possibly a basis for his Gentle Fist style.

In Shonen Jump's annual character popularity polls, Neji often ranks in the Top 10, usually in the 6th-8th range.

Background

Neji's father, Hizashi Hyuga, was born as the younger brother of his twin, Hiashi Hyuga. Because he was born second Hizashi was put into the Hyuga clan's branch house, causing Neji to years later be born into the same faction. At a young age Neji was branded with the Hyuga branch family seal so that the main house could keep him in check and preserve the clan's secrets. Hizashi, believing Neji to be denied his full potential as a branch house member, began to openly resent the main house, leading to many reprimands because of it. Due to the punishments his father received as well as his father's influence, Neji also came to resent the main house.

In time, Hizashi would sacrifice himself to save the life of his brother, Hiashi. Believing his father to have been forced to give up his life to save a member of the main house, Neji came to resent the Hyuga clan's main family. This hatred would shape Neji's outlook on life for years to come, and would not be corrected until after his defeat by Uzumaki Naruto. At this point in time, Neji learns that his father willingly gave up his life not to save a member of the branch house, but to save the life of his brother. Upon learning this Neji rejects the former ideals he has come to hold true and does what he can to rectify his mistakes.

Personality

While under the belief that his father died as a member of the branch house, Neji formulates the idea that fate is something decided at birth and that no matter what one does, people cannot escape their destiny. As seen during his match with Hinata Hyuga, Neji tries to transfer this belief to those he finds weaker than him, citing that they can never hope to better themselves due solely to the fate they have occupied. While Hinata is brought to tears by this suggestion, she is eventually able to turn his philosophy against him: by suggesting that he is the one who fights fate, trying so hard to be worthy of the main house despite the fact that he will never be allowed membership. Neji is enraged by this and attempts to kill Hinata, though is stopped before he can land a finishing blow.

Neji displays similar efforts to condescend others during his match with Naruto Uzumaki who, despite being repeatedly struck down, continues to try and fight him. While Neji tries to show Naruto why fate cannot be fought and that someone who is weak will always remain weak, Naruto is unwilling to accept this mindset. By tapping into the power of the demon fox sealed within him, Naruto is able to defeat Neji, much to the latter's surprise. Because Naruto dealt the final blow with a shadow clone, Neji lectures himself for falling for Naruto's signature jutsu. Naruto, however, explains that creating clones was once his worst technique, though through repeated practice was able to master it.

With this example of overcoming "destiny" as well as finding out the truth about his father's death soon afterwards, Neji abandons the concept of inescapable fate. No longer bound by the idea that he is stuck at his current status, Neji resolves to become strong enough to never again lose a battle. To do so he begins putting more emphasis on working well with his team, and rapidly starts to value a mission's successful completion and his teammates' safety over his own betterment. In addition, Neji begins trying to remedy the estranged relations between himself and the main house members, most particularly by being kinder to Hinata. His efforts seem to be effective, as he begins training with Hiashi and in Part II even starts to wear traditional Hyuga robes.

Abilities
As a member of the Hyuga clan, Neji possesses the Byakugan, which gives him an almost 360° field of vision. Throughout the series he attempts to bring this up to a full 360°, though he is never able to completely overcome the Byakugan's blindspot. Because of this, Neji is acutely aware of his blindspot and takes extra efforts in keeping it away from opponents as well as paying more attention to it than he does the rest of his body. While the Byakugan naturally has only a limited field of vision, Neji is able to increase the range of its sight several times over by the start of Part II. The Byakugan also allows him to specialize in the Gentle Fist fighting style, which enables him to damage an opponent's chakra circulatory system and inner organs directly with even a slight tap.

Since his time in the Ninja Academy, Neji has been held to be a natural genius, even becoming the #1 rookie in his class. As a member of the Hyuga clan's branch house, Neji can never hope to be taught how to use the clan's most secret techniques. Despite this he has learned many of these techniques, such as Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin and Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, independently, a feat that surprises many of the clan's elder members. Since mastering these jutsu, Neji has begun to refine and strengthen them for more specialized needs. The fruits of his efforts are first seen during the Sasuke Retrieval arc where he uses Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms (八卦百二十八掌, Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō), what is essentially a doubled version of the Sixty-Four Palms technique, to strike numerous targets at once. In Part II he also develops the Eight Trigrams Empty Palm (八卦空掌, Hakke Kūshō), a more focused version of the Heavenly Spin, with which he can expel chakra from his palm to attack opponents out of his physical reach. Unlike his teammates, Neji also becomes a Jonin over the timeskip, indicating that he has put a great deal of effort into improving himself.

Might Guy (マイト・ガイ, Maito Gai) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden created by Masashi Kishimoto. He is the leader of Team Guy, consisting of Rock Lee, Neji and Tenten.

Fansubs have often dubbed his name as Maito Gai, a direct and unaltered transliteration of the character's name, but the second official Naruto databook (Hiden: Tō no Sho) states his name as Might Guy. Viz Media initially rendered his name as "Mighty Guy" in some of the early chapters, though this was switched to "Maito Gai" in most of the graphic novel distributions. His name has since been corrected to "Might Guy" after the release of the databook.

The name "Might Guy" is a joke aimed at the "hot-headed hero" archetype that appears in many movies and anime. Guy's appearance and mannerisms are similar to Bruce Lee's.

Background

Upon becoming a squad leader, Guy took an immediate interest in Rock Lee due to the similarities between Lee and himself when he was younger. Because Lee is unable to mold chakra he can't use many of the basic ninja abilities. As such, his goal in life is to master taijutsu

and prove that someone who can't mold chakra can still become a splendid ninja. To help him achieve this goal, Guy dedicates most of his time with his team as well as his free time training Lee, teaching him all that he knows about taijutsu.

To help Lee better reach this goal Guy has taught him a number of otherwise forbidden techniques that can endanger both Lee and those around him. While Guy is aware of the danger these jutsu impose, even limiting Lee to using them only to protect people close to him, Guy largely turns a blind eye to these repercussions in favor of Lee becoming a splendid ninja. Lee ultimately uses these techniques to excess in an attempt to prove himself, leaving him unable to continue life as a ninja. Guy regrets ever teaching Lee the techniques and does all that he can to find Lee a cure. When one is found that may result in Lee's death, Guy convinces him to go through with it, citing that if Lee dies then he will too, as he has no reason to live if he can't help Lee succeed as a ninja. Lee takes Guy's advice and survives, returning to full health and allowing the two continue their unique student-teacher relationship.

Because of Guy's dedication to Lee, Lee has likewise become dedicated to Guy, and models himself in his sensei's image. In doing so he has reproduced Guy's distinctive green jumpsuit and shiny bowl haircut, having already had Guy's characteristic thick eyebrows. Lee has also acquired many of Guy's personality traits and habits, and the two typically join together in carrying out odd methods of training. Because of this Neji and Tenten are for the most part left to find their own methods of training, both being unable and unwilling to take part in Guy and Lee's training methods.

Personality

Guy has many mannerisms unique to him in the series that are meant to be seen as corny and old fashioned, a reference to common clichés of "youth" (青春 seishun) anime. He is best known for his "nice guy pose", which consists of giving a thumbs up, winking, and smiling with teeth so white they give the proverbial "ping". This action is often used by both Guy and Lee to indicate commitment to a statement they had just made, their highest form of a promise. Guy's teacher-student relationship with Lee also carries distinct attributes, such as when Guy will punch Lee for a slight infraction of a rule. After Guy assigns Lee an arduous training task as punishment, meant to recapture Lee's focus and discipline, the two may then burst into tears and embrace each other in mutual regret.

Guy, and by extension Lee, lives his life by his own "My Rules" philosophy, which involves setting tougher self-imposed penalties for failure so something good comes of it. For example, he vowed to walk 500 laps around Konoha on his hands if he lost a contest with Kakashi, and proceeded to do so upon losing, even though people stopped paying attention eventually. He also doesn't hesitate to do things he doesn't enjoy or that others might find embarrassing if it means his own self-improvement, as seen with his belief that one cannot dislike food regardless of its ingredients or taste. In addition, Guy values his youth to a great degree and dislikes the idea that he may not be as young as he once was. To help remedy this problem he spends large amounts of time with his younger teammates, hoping to acquire some of their youthful properties. Likewise, he often refers to himself as "Konoha's Prideful Green Beast" (木ノ葉の気高き碧い猛獣, Konoha no Kedakai Aoi Mōjū).

Guy is the self-proclaimed rival of Kakashi Hatake. Kakashi, however, is indifferent to their rivalry, which annoys Guy to no end. Guy randomly challenges Kakashi to contests of skill, and has acquired a record of 50 wins and 49 losses in doing so. Given that the contests that make up this figure are so varied (ranging from Rock, Paper, Scissors to sumo-wrestling), this it is not much of an achievement on Guy's part. Nevertheless, Guy is proud of his record.

Abilities

Guy specializes in using taijutsu, though unlike Lee this seems to be a matter of preference on his part. Instead he simply chooses not to use ninjutsu or genjutsu, even going so far as to use a regular (albeit bad) disguise during one of the anime's filler arcs instead of using the Transformation Technique. In the few instances that he has used ninjutsu, it has always been offscreen, such as when he summoned Ninkame prior to his first appearance. Through his mastery of taijutsu Guy specializes in the Strong Fist style of combat, increasing the potency of his attacks. Likewise, he can also open at least six of the Eight Gates , with each gate giving him more power for short periods of time.

Despite his apparent decision to only use taijutsu, Guy is a talented ninja. Itachi Uchiha has on multiple occasions warned others against underestimating Guy. Given that Itachi and his accomplices are extremely dangerous ninja, such a warning is an indicator that Guy is an excellent combatant. In his rivalry with Kakashi he has developed an effective counter against Sharingan users: by focusing on their feet, Guy can both predict the movements of the enemy and negate the Sharingan's necessity of having eye-contact. Currently, Guy is the only ninja who can use this technique. His abilities seem to be great enough to allow him to lead other higher-classed ninja, as seen during the anime's Konoha 11 arc where he leads all of Konoha's available Jonin in case of an invasion by Takigakure.

Sasuke Uchiha (うちはサスケ, Uchiha Sasuke) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden.

Sasuke's given name comes from the legendary ninja Sarutobi Sasuke. His surname, Uchiha, is another way of pronouncing "uchiwa", or a paper fan, which is actually the Uchiha clan symbol. Uchiwa can be used to fan flames, making the flame hotter — referring to the fact that the Uchiha is a clan of fire-jutsu users.

In Shonen Jump's June 2006 edition, Masashi Kishimoto (in Kakashi's voice) remarks that while Sasuke is a genius, he is a little dull to teach because he learns techniques easily compared to the less predictable Naruto.

In Shonen Jump's character popularity polls, Sasuke usually ranked the 3rd or 4th spot for the majority of the series. More recently, he has been ranked at 1st.

Background

Sasuke Uchiha is a former member of Hatake Kakashi's Team 7, which, at the time of his membership, consisted of himself, Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno. At the start of the series, Sasuke is established as a natural genius, excelling at all that he does and finding little difficulty in more challenging tasks. Because of this and his looks, Sasuke is very popular amongst the girls in his age group, with each wanting Sasuke to like them. Despite the number of people vying for his affection, Sasuke's only interest is in gaining strength, and has no interest in working with others if they cannot help him achieve this goal. While he does in time begin to break out of this shell, Sasuke's quest for power is ever present throughout the series and influences the choices he makes.

Childhood

Much of Sasuke's childhood was spent living in the shadow of his older brother, Itachi Uchiha, who had proven time and again that he was an extremely talented ninja. Because of Itachi's successes, most of the members of the Uchiha clan looked to Itachi as the clan's future, the biggest proponent of this idea being Sasuke's father, Fugaku Uchiha. Due to this focusing on Itachi, Sasuke did what he could to prove himself to his family, though no amount of training

could help him in surpassing the milestones set in place by his brother. Itachi, aware of Sasuke's struggle for recognition, tried to shift some of their father's attention to Sasuke, even offering to train Sasuke in various fields of ninja abilities. Although Itachi succeeded in getting Fugaku to spend more time with Sasuke, much of that time was still dedicated Itachi, and all the while Itachi never lived up to his promises of training Sasuke.

As time went by, Itachi's standing in the clan began to falter, Itachi becoming increasingly less dependable with tasks and constantly having his trustworthiness called into question. At this time, Itachi also began to create a more competitive relationship with Sasuke, challenging Sasuke to surpass him. Because of Itachi's changing personality, Fugaku began to take a more active interest in Sasuke's development, teaching him the Great Fireball Technique in less time than Itachi had taken to learn it, which also gave Sasuke a proper membership into the clan. Most prominently, Fugaku encouraged Sasuke to not follow in Itachi's footsteps, the former prodigy of the clan having lost his father's confidence.

Soon after receiving the attention from his father that he had so yearned for, Sasuke returned home late one evening to find all the members of his clan dead, each murdered by Itachi. After finding Itachi standing over the bodies of their parents, Sasuke was forced to relive the murder of his parents (and everyone else in the clan) through Itachi's use of his Mangekyo Sharingan. As Sasuke writhed from the visions he had seen, Itachi informed him that he wasn't worth killing. As he left, Itachi repeated his encouragement to Sasuke to get strong enough to surpass him, and disappeared into the night. From that day forth, Sasuke lived as an orphan, longing for the parents that had been taken from him and allowing his brother's words to fester. Soon after the clan's annihilation, Sasuke's only goal in life became to gain power through any means necessary, in order to kill Itachi and avenge the clan.

Part I

Land of waves arc
During one of Team 7's first missions to the Land of waves, Sasuke is forced into battle with Haku. Thanks in part to his training up to that point, Sasuke is able to catch Haku by surprise with the revelation that he can follow the latter's movements. To combat this advantage, Haku traps Sasuke in a prison of indestructible ice mirrors, dramatically increasing his speed and allowing him to send numerous volleys of needles at Sasuke. As the battle progresses, Sasuke begins to be able to track Haku's increased speed as well, a benefit allowed by his newly awoken Sharingan. Despite finally being able to keep up with Haku, Sasuke's attention is drawn to Naruto, who has since gotten himself trapped within the ice prison as well. As Haku makes to eliminate Naruto, Sasuke uses himself as a human shield to protect Naruto. As his life appears to fade, Sasuke explains that he had no intention of saving Naruto and that his body moved on its own, trying to dismiss the fact that he did it to save Naruto. After seeming to have died, Naruto avenges Sasuke by defeating Haku. However, Haku never intended to kill Sasuke, as he was merely put into a death-trance and awakens after a short time. Once their mission is completed, Team 7 returns to Konoha.

Chuunin Exam arc

Soon after the second phase of the Chunin Exams begins, Sasuke and Sakura are attacked by Orochimaru. Due to Orochimaru's Death Foreseeing Technique, Sasuke is left shaken and is only barely able to counter Orochimaru's attacks. Fearing for his safety, Sasuke tries to give into Orochimaru's demands, though an arrival by Naruto prevents him from doing so. As Naruto battles Orochimaru, Sasuke is amazed that Naruto is as skilled as he is, having previously believed him to be an untalented failure. Although Naruto is defeated by Orochimaru, his efforts properly motivate Sasuke into fighting and allow him to defeat Orochimaru. Orochimaru, impressed with Sasuke's abilities, admits defeat and rewards Sasuke with his Cursed Seal of Heaven. As Sasuke collapses due to the pain, Orochimaru departs, wishing Sasuke luck in surviving the seal's effects.

Because of the cursed seal, Sasuke is rendered unconscious and left in the care of Sakura. As she does so, a group of Sound Genin arrive to kill Sasuke under Orochimaru's orders, and they injure her heavily in their attempt. After regaining consciousness, Sasuke asks Sakura who gave her those injuries, which Zaku Abumi takes the credit for. Enraged, the cursed seal engulfs Sasuke, and he quickly catches Zaku by the arms. Admiring the fact that Zaku finds a great deal of use in his arms, Sasuke breaks them both, and turns his attention to Zaku's teammates as Zaku writhes in pain. Before he can proceed, however, Sakura catches him in an embrace, begging that he stop his attack. As the cursed seal recedes due to her pleas, Sasuke realizes what he has done, and wonders where the increased speed and strength he experienced came from.

After qualifying for the final round matches of the Chuunin Exam, Kakashi seals Sasuke's cursed seal to prevent its use. Since the seal is dependent on Sasuke's willingness to not use the cursed seal, and because the cursed seal's appeal as a source of power may be too tempting for Sasuke, Kakashi takes Sasuke aside for a month of training. During his training with Kakashi, Sasuke learns the One Thousand Birds (Chidori) , a jutsu he can use to its fullest with the help of his Sharingan. Kakashi also teaches Sasuke how to replicate Rock Lee's superhuman speed, as such an ability will be needed if Sasuke is to defeat Gaara during the finals. After arriving for the finals late, Sasuke's training proves to have paid off, as his newfound speed is more than enough to bypass Gaara's defenses. When Gaara retreats inside his Sphere of Sand, Sasuke uses his One Thousand Birds to pierce Gaara's defenses, severely injuring him.

At that moment, the invasion of Konoha begins, and Gaara flees the village so that he can recover. Wanting to finish their match, Sasuke gives chase, and upon catching up with Gaara is able to use his One Thousand Birds to slice through Gaara's arm. Gaara's increased strength, however, allows him to quickly recover and mount a counterattack against Sasuke. Having reached his natural limits, Sasuke is forced to tap into the power of the cursed seal in order to use another One Thousand Birds, though again fails to faze Gaara. As the pain of the seal begins to affect him, Naruto comes to his rescue, saving him from another of Gaara's counterattacks. As Sasuke watches Naruto's battle with Gaara, he is again amazed by Naruto's growth in strength. After Naruto defeats Gaara, Sasuke carries him back to Konoha, jealous of Naruto's abilities.

Return of Itachi arc
After learning that Kakashi has been defeated in battle, Sasuke goes to see Kakashi to investigate. In doing so, Sasuke learns that Itachi has returned to Konoha in search of Naruto. Seeing this as a chance to kill his brother, Sasuke rushes out to find Naruto, wondering why Itachi is after Naruto in the first place. Upon catching up with Naruto, Sasuke finds Itachi already there, and tries to kill him with his One Thousand Birds. Itachi, uninterested in their brotherly quarrel at the moment, makes quick work of Sasuke, mocking him for still not being strong enough and then using his Tsukuyomi on Sasuke as a punishment. Sasuke falls to the ground, his mind broken by Itachi's attack, and is left unconscious while Itachi is driven off. Sasuke is taken back to Konoha, where he lies in bed until he can be healed.

Sasuke Retrieval arc

Once the damage to Sasuke's mind is healed by Tsunade, he begins to reflect on his progress since joining Team 7. Disgusted by the fact that he still isn't strong enough to defeat Itachi and that Naruto has so rapidly gotten stronger than him, unrest begins to fester within Sasuke. As Sasuke's loyalties to Konoha and those around him begin to deteriorate, Kakashi tries to steer him away from his quest for power. A visit from Orochimaru's Sound Four, however, catches his interest, and after they demonstrate some of the strength they have gained under Orochimaru, Sasuke is finally persuaded to sever his ties with Konoha in exchange for power. On his way to Orochimaru, he encounters the Sound Four again, who assist him in advancing his cursed seal to the next level. To do so, Sasuke is drugged and put into a container, and the Sound Four carry him to Orochimaru while the advancing takes place.

By the time Sasuke's seal completes its advancement, Naruto, sent to retrieve Sasuke, catches up. Using Naruto's presence to his advantage, Sasuke decides to use one of the last bits of advice Itachi gave him: in order to gain the Mangekyo Sharingan, the highest power of the Uchiha clan, kill your best friend. Believing Naruto to be his best friend, Sasuke prepares to do just that, finding the loss of Naruto to be an adequate price for gaining enough power to kill Itachi. Naruto refuses to accept Sasuke's decision and decides to drag Sasuke back to the village by force if he has to. Indifferent to Naruto's feelings, Sasuke attacks him. Using the power of his cursed seal, Sasuke is able to fatally injure Naruto, though the latter's demon fox chakra allows him to regenerate the wound. Surprised by this turn of events, Sasuke tries to keep up with Naruto's new strength, and it is not until his Sharingan fully develops that he is able to gain the upperhand again.

After Naruto allows the demon fox's chakra to surround him and take the shape of a fox, Sasuke becomes unable to land a blow on him while in his current form. To compensate, Sasuke advances his cursed seal to its second level, and the two prepare to end the battle. After Sasuke creates a curse seal-powered One Thousand Birds and Naruto creates a demon fox-fueled Spiraling Sphere, the two friends clash, and their attacks meet to create a dome of pure energy. Within the dome, Sasuke punches Naruto while Naruto merely chooses to scratch Sasuke's headband. As the dome dissipates, Sasuke stands over an unconscious Naruto. Although he considers killing Naruto, he realizes that that is exactly what Itachi would want, and resorts to finding power in his own way. He leaves Naruto and goes to Orochimaru, ready for whatever power he can acquire.

Part II

Over the timeskip, Sasuke has remained largely the same to how he was upon his leaving Konoha in Part I, his life revolving around his quest for power. Sasuke has completely buried whatever bonds he may have had in the past, as those very bonds slowed his growth. When meeting with Naruto and Sakura again after their long separation, he is more than willing to kill both as neither is of any use to him. In contrast, he seems unwilling to kill perfect strangers much later on. Sasuke's relationship with Orochimaru isn't considerably different from that of his former teammates, as the only time he willingly spends with Orochimaru is during their training. Unlike most of Orochimaru's subordinates, Sasuke applies no honorifics to Orochimaru's name, nor does he express his allegiance with Otogakure by wearing a Sound headband. Of the loyalties Sasuke has, the only one he displays is that of the Uchiha clan, the symbol of which he wears on his back collar.

In his training with Orochimaru, Sasuke's abilities have improved greatly. Over the timeskip, Sasuke has begun using a chokuto, giving him a weapon that does not rely on his chakra. He has also developed the One Thousand Birds Current, allowing him to project lightning-based chakra from all over his body to use as a shield as well as harm those it comes into contact with. In its debut, Sasuke uses this in conjunction with his chokuto, and by sending the electrical wave along the blade he can increase its cutting power and paralyze those it comes into contact with. His abilities with lightning based chakra have also delved into form manipulation, as he has been shown to be able to create an extendable blade of lightning chakra without any sort of medium. Orochimaru's influence has allowed Sasuke to call snakes from his sleeves, similar to the Hidden Shadow Snake Hand. Sasuke has also gained a much greater amount of control over his cursed seal, so much so that he is now able to advance only parts of his body to their second level state.

Sasuke and Sai arc

Sasuke is approached by Sai, his replacement in Team 7, in an attempt to bring Sasuke back to Naruto. Sasuke, uninterested in returning to Naruto, is instead angered by Sai's interruption of his nap and attacks him as such. When Naruto, Sakura, and Yamato, Kakashi's temporary replacement, arrive, the group tries to persuade Sasuke to return to Konoha with them, citing the fact that Orochimaru will take over his body if he remains. Sasuke replies that he doesn't care what happens to his body so long as he can kill Itachi, and proceeds to attack the group.

After making quick work of all of them, Sasuke finds Naruto tapping into the demon fox's power. Entering Naruto's subconscious, Sasuke finally learns of the source of Naruto's previously unexplained strength. Surprised by his presence, the demon fox tells Sasuke that his eyes and chakra have become even more sinister than its own, and then compares Sasuke to Madara Uchiha. Sasuke quickly dismisses its notions and responds by suppressing its chakra. As the demon fox recedes, it warns Sasuke not to kill Naruto, and the two are returned to reality. Tired of their battle, Sasuke prepares to finish off the group, though Orochimaru stops him before he can do so. After Kabuto Yakushi points out that allowing Team 7 to live may weaken Akatsuki, making Itachi easier to kill, Sasuke is persuaded to spare them, and the three disappear.

Current arc

Sasuke reappears attacking a bedridden Orochimaru with a blade made of lightning chakra. Deciding that there is nothing more he can learn from Orochimaru, Sasuke activates his Sharingan and cursed seal, ready to kill him. Having anticipated this, Orochimaru attempts to take over Sasuke's body. Although Sasuke seems to quickly defeat Orochimaru, Orochimaru succeeds in beginning the body transfer. As Orochimaru takes hold of Sasuke, Sasuke uses his Sharingan to fight the process, allowing him to turn the jutsu against Orochimaru and beat him at his own game. When later explaining this to Kabuto Yakushi, Kabuto believes this to mean that Orochimaru is dead, though Sasuke corrects him by saying that he merely took Orochimaru over.

Freed from Orochimaru's influence, Sasuke initiates a plan he has been formulating since his going to Orochimaru years earlier: to defeat Itachi. Having used his time with Orochimaru to find shinobi whose abilities can help him with his cause, Sasuke recruits Suigetsu Hozuki and Karin. When looking for the final member, Jugo, Sasuke encounters a number of escaped prisoners who have advanced to the second phase of the cursed seal due to Jugo's influence. Sasuke, Suigetsu, and Karin defeat them effortlessly, though under Sasuke's orders the prisoners are not killed. Upon finding Jugo, Sasuke tries to persuade him to join them, though Jugo's fear of killing others causes him to decline the offer. It is not until Sasuke promises to keep him from killing others that Jugo decides to accompany them. His team assembled, Sasuke names the group "Snake," and they set out to find Itachi.

Sakura Haruno (春野サクラ Haruno Sakura) is a fictional character in the anime and manga Naruto & Naruto Shippuuden by Masashi Kishimoto.

The name "Haruno" means "spring field" and "Sakura" means "cherry blossom," which is cherished in Japan due to its beauty and almost tragically short life span (sakura blossoms have historically been associated with samurai)

In the June 2006 issue of American version of Shonen Jump, Masashi Kishimoto (in the voice of Kakashi) stated that Sakura would make the best ninja instructor, because "she has flaws in her personality, like stalking Sasuke, but Sakura is the closest to being normal". He also has stated that Sakura and Rock Lee were meant to symbolize human weakness (at least in the beginning of the show).

Sakura is a fairly popular character in Naruto. In Shonen Jump's character popularity polls, Sakura is frequently in the Top 10, making the Top 5 four times.

Background

Sakura is a member of Kakashi's Team 7, originally consisting of herself, Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Contrary to her teammates, Sakura did not experience any kind of tragedy during her childhood. Because of this, she takes for granted things Naruto and Sasuke wish they had, most particularly loving parents. Sakura's favorite foods are syrup-coated anko dumplings and umeboshi (a type of Japanese pickle), with her least favorite being anything spicy. Her favorite phrases are "courage" (勇気 Yūki) and "a lifetime full of love" (一生愛の人生よ！ Issei ai no jinsei yo!).

At the start of the series, Sakura's only defining characteristic is her intelligence, largely due to her interest in memorizing things and taking quizzes while in the Academy. Because of this, Sakura was initially unable to contribute largely in battles, her stamina and overall talent being below average. Soon after the start of her first mission, however, Sakura discovers that she has an excellent control over her chakra, and as such she can use jutsu to their maximum efficiency. While this particular ability is never put to great use in Part I, it becomes a focal point of Sakura's fighting style in Part II.

Within Sakura resides an "Inner Sakura", a manifestation of her inner emotions that, aside from comic relief, serves as a representation of Sakura's actual opinion on things when she outwardly displays something opposite. Inner Sakura's appearances are typically marked by an exclamation of "Shānnarō" (しゃーんなろー). The phrase has no literal meaning, but is usually translated as "hell yeah", "hell no", or "damn it" depending on the situation ("Cha!" in the English anime). Inner Sakura's appearances are fairly infrequent, her last appearance being Sakura's fight during the Chuunin Exams (where it is implied that Inner Sakura may be similar to a separate entity in Sakura's mind). Inner Sakura briefly resurfaces later on during one of the anime's filler arcs, and again at the start of Part II. This large gap between appearances is likely due to Sakura becoming more comfortable with herself, and no longer having what she says contrast how she actually feels.

Sakura and Ino

During her early years in the Academy, Sakura was frequently bullied by others due to her large forehead. To try and combat this, Sakura used her bangs to hide her forehead, fueling the other kids' teasings by indicating she was sensitive about it.Ino Yamanaka realizing this, gave Sakura a ribbon to accent her face and help Sakura overcome her phobia about her forehead. As such, the two became good friends and Sakura was in time able to develop her own unique personality and become as popular as Ino. Despite this, Sakura felt she was living in Ino's shadow and longed to be able to prove herself as Ino's equal. When it later became clear that both were infatuated with Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura ended their friendship so that the two could properly compete for Sasuke's affection, beginning a bitter rivalry between the two of them.

Part I

Survival Test arc
Upon being assigned as a member of Team 7, Sakura spends much of her time trying to appeal to Sasuke despite the fact that Sasuke has no interest in her. All the while, Naruto tries to appeal to Sakura, despite the fact that she has no interest in him and degrades him whenever given the opportunity. As such, when Kakashi administers a test on the three to see if they will be allowed to become Genin, Sakura preoccupies herself with following Sasuke instead of helping Naruto. After Kakashi lectures Sakura for this as well as Naruto and Sasuke for their respective faults, Sakura realizes that if they are to become Genin, they will need to work as a team, even if that means breaking the rules. This revelation having been the goal of the test, Kakashi passes the three, then explains that the point of the test was that they should realize that none of them could achieve the goal of the test on their own, thus motivating them to work together. Team 7 became the first to pass Kakashi's test.

Land of waves arc
When Team 7 sets out on one of their first missions to the Land of waves, Sakura is left in charge of protecting Tazuna while Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi fight the enemy. When Sasuke appears to have died in battle, Sakura violates Shinobi Rule #25 of not showing any kind of emotions by crying for Sasuke's loss. When Sasuke turns out to have only been in a death-trance, Sakura is relieved that he is alive. Once their mission is completed, Team 7 returns to Konoha.
Chuunin Exam Arc

During the written portion of the Chunin Exams, Sakura is one of the few Genin capable of answering the test's questions without cheating. Realizing that Naruto isn't smart enough to answer the questions correctly or think of cheating, Sakura contemplates disqualifying Team 7 so that Naruto doesn't need to. When Naruto proclaims that he won't back down from the test, Sakura decides against it, and Team 7 passes.

Soon after the start of the second phase of the Chuunin Exams, Team 7 is attacked by Orochimaru. Although Naruto and Sasuke do their best to defeat Orochimaru, both are rendered unconscious and Sakura is left to take care of them. When they are attacked by a group of Sound Genin sent by Orochimaru to kill Sasuke, Sakura tries to defeat them with some traps she had preprepared, though the group easily avoids her efforts. Just as the Sound Genin are about to turn their attention to Team 7, Rock Lee comes to their rescue, determined to protect Sakura at all costs. Despite using techniques he was forbidden to use, Lee is defeated and the Sound Genin again turn their attention to Sakura. One of the Sound Genin, Kin Tsuchi immobilizes Sakura by grabbing her hair, scolding her for putting more effort in her looks than her abilities as a ninja. Distraught that people are always fighting for her because she can't fight for herself, Sakura resolves to better herself as a ninja. Cutting off her hair to release herself from Kin's grasp, Sakura does what she can to fend off the Sound Genin, even going so far as biting to make sure that she can't be easily repelled. This display spurs Ino and her team into coming to Sakura's aid, allowing the latter to rest.

In the preliminary matches of the exam, Sakura is pitted against Ino. After Sakura and Ino exchange insults, Ino, seeing Sakura as much more of a challenge than she thought, follows Sakura's earlier example and cuts her hair, leading Sakura and the others to believe that Ino has lost her mind. In actuality, Ino cut her hair to help her in battle; by sending chakra into her cut hair, Ino is able to tie Sakura in place, allowing her slow moving Mind Body Switch Technique to have no difficulties in finding its target. After taking control of Sakura's body, Ino tries to force Sakura to forfeit, but Inner Sakura awakens and forces Ino from her body. With both girls exhausted from the amount of effort they've been putting into their fight, Ino and Sakura charge at each other to deal final blows. Striking each other simultaneously, both are knocked out, leading to a draw. As the two recover, Ino and Sakura acknowledge each other as their equals and begin to rekindle their friendship.

When the invasion of Konoha begins, Sakura is one of the few Genin present who is able to repel the sleep inducing genjutsu in large part due to her control over her own chakra. Because of this, Sakura is assigned by Kakashi to wake Naruto so that they can follow Sasuke. Upon catching up with Sasuke, Sakura protects him from Gaara's attacks, but Gaara uses his sand to immobilize her. As the sand gradually tightens around Sakura, Naruto fights to defeat Gaara, determined to save her. He succeeds, and Sakura is freed.

Sasuke retrieval arc

When Sasuke attempts to abandon Konoha so that he can go to Orochimaru for power, Sakura meets him at the village's exit. Realizing what he is trying to do, Sakura offers to help him in his quest for power, so long as she can be with him. Sasuke, affected by her words, gives her a simple "thank you" before knocking her unconscious and leaving the village. The second databook elaborates on this a bit, saying that, "Sasuke is unable to answer her feelings. At the end, he leaves her with only a word of gratitude rather than words of parting."

When Naruto sets out the next day to retrieve Sasuke, Sakura begs for him to bring Sasuke back, believing Naruto to be the only person who can get through to Sasuke. Naruto, looking at the crying Sakura, promises her that he will bring Sasuke back, making it his promise to her for a lifetime. As Naruto leaves, Sakura begins to understand the magnitude of his feelings for her and realizes that he is not the idiot she once thought he was. After Naruto fails to bring Sasuke back and lies in a hospital bed, he apologizes to Sakura for failing though promises that he will definitely keep his promise. Sakura, seeing his determination, replies that next time they will retrieve Sasuke together. Determined to get stronger, Sakura asks to become Tsunade's apprentice, to which Tsunade agrees.

Anime Filler Arc
Little is seen of Sakura during the filler arcs due to much of her time being preoccupied with training. When she does go out on missions with her fellow Genin, Sakura serves as the medical specialist, healing the wounds of others and examining bodies. Ino, jealous of Sakura's newfound healing abilities, asks to train with Sakura to be a medical ninja. To Ino's dismay, Sakura immediately proclaims that Ino will be her junior during the course of the training. The filler arcs also suggest that Sakura is afraid of toads, as she shudders at the sight of the toads that Naruto summons. Also, the filler arcs suggest that not only is Sakura advancing in her medical training, but also her strength (She was shown throwing a big rock at a summoned bird that had an explosive tag on it so that it would be easier for Naruto to hit.)

Naruto Movies

Naruto the Movie

Throughout the movie, Sakura encounters Mizore Fuyukuma and stuns him with her Sakura Blizzard Technique.

Naruto the Movie 2

During a final battle with the wolf-like Fugai, Sakura kills her by using metal pillars to reflect her ear-splitting howl, which causes the pillars to collapse in on her.

Naruto the Movie 3

Sakura is assigned along with Naruto and Rock Lee to protect the Land of the Moon's prince, Hikaru, during his world trip. After she befriends him, she promises to travel to the Land of the Moon's castle to rescue his father, Michiru. There, she encounters Karenbana. Her promise to protect Michiru causes her to rise after defeat. She shatters a chandelier and uses her ability to pick up on an enemy's movements to hear Karenbana's high-speed motion across the shattered glass and delivers a bone-shattering punch to Karenbana's face, sending her flying, defeated, into the wall. During the credits, she is seen on the beach and watching the sunset with Naruto in a tree.

Part II

Over the timeskip, Sakura has changed greatly by becoming stronger and more mature. Having become more comfortable with herself, Sakura no longer relies on Inner Sakura to express her true feelings, instead openly expressing whatever emotion Inner Sakura would have displayed. Sakura has also become closer with Naruto despite their long time apart, being able to work well together and otherwise being more accepting of his personality traits. Despite this, Sakura worries more for Naruto than she did in Part I, crying for his hardships and wanting to do whatever she can to help him. Sakura's feelings towards Sasuke have also changed; she seems to hold Sasuke more as a dear friend than a mere crush. When they meet again after their time apart, Sakura is openly willing to attack him if it means she can protect others and at the same time bring Sasuke home. Still, Sakura is not willing to let someone speak ill of Sasuke, and beats anyone who badmouths him in an instant.

Sakura's natural control of her chakra has been taken to new heights over the timeskip, an ability utilized to its fullest by the training she has done with Tsunade. With her excellent chakra control, Sakura has turned into an excellent combat medic-nin, and has shown herself to be able to heal fatal injuries with relatively little effort even when more experienced medics would deem it a lost cause. In her training to become a medic-nin, Sakura has also acquired the ability to pick up on an enemy's movements in a short period of time, as good medics need to be able to survive a battle if they are to fulfill their purpose.

If she cannot avoid a battle, Sakura can rely on the strength taught to her by Tsunade. By building up and releasing her chakra with precise timing, Sakura can easily decimate any obstacle and turn it to rubble. Over time and through repeated use, Sakura has become able to use this strength instinctively and does not need to put any effort into using it. This strength, coupled with her medical expertise, her new disposition, and beauty has caused many to see Sakura as another Tsunade, and perhaps even capable of surpassing her master.

Rescue Gaara arc

When Gaara is kidnapped by Akatsuki, Team 7 is sent to help in rescuing him. After arriving in Sunagakure, Sakura is able to make an antidote for Sasori's poison by extracting the poison from Kankuro's body. As Team 7 sets out to pursue Gaara's captors, they are joined by Chiyo. After finding Gaara, Sakura and Chiyo battle Sasori while Naruto and Kakashi follow his partner. By guiding her as a puppet, Chiyo is able to help Sakura in avoiding Sasori's attacks, allowing Sakura to use her strength to destroy Sasori's puppets. When Sasori tries to kill Chiyo, Sakura uses herself as a human shield to protect her, giving Chiyo the opportunity to stab Sasori through the heart. Despite her injury, Sakura is able to persevere long enough to be healed by Chiyo. Before Sasori dies, he rewards Sakura for her defeating him by telling her of a spy within Orochimaru's ranks that he is scheduled to meet in a week. After Gaara is revived by Chiyo, Team 7 returns to Konoha, an opportunity to find Sasuke now available.

Kakashi Hatake(はたけカカシ, Hatake Kakashi) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden. The family name, 'Hatake' means 'field' or 'farmland'.The name 'Kakashi' means 'scarecrow'. Kakashi is a popular character, consistently ranking in the Top 5 in Shonen Jump Magazine's Official Poll. He has taken 1st place twice in this poll.

Background Kakashi is a Konoha Jonin and the current leader of Team 7, which originally consisted of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. He is known as Copy Ninja Kakashi (コピー忍者のカカシ, Kopī Ninja no Kakashi) or Sharingan Kakashi (写輪眼のカカシ, Sharingan no Kakashi), referring to the Sharingan in his left eye and his use of it in battle,which has allowed him to copy more than one thousand jutsu. Kakashi's Sharingan eye is not his own; it originally belonged to his former teammate and friend, Obito Uchiha.

Though he reportedly has many hobbies, the one pastime seen most in the series is his reading of "Icha Icha Paradise" (イチャイチャパラダイス, Icha Icha Paradaisu, literally "Make out Paradise"), an adult and probably pornographic novel authored by Jiraiya that is a runaway bestseller in the Naruto world. Kakashi most prominently reads it while training and speaking with Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, and later in the series can be seen reading the second volume, "Icha Icha Violence" (イチャイチャバイオレンス, Icha Icha Baiorensu?, literally Make Out Violence").

Kakashi has an ongoing, albeit slightly one-sided, rivalry with Might Guy; Guy constantly proclaims that Kakashi is his rival and challenges him on occasion, but Kakashi simply acts indifferent to the matter, annoying Guy to no end. Kakashi's current record stands at 49 wins and 50 losses, though the contests that make up this figure are so varied that it is not much of an achievement on Guy's part. Nevertheless, Guy is proud of his record. The contests have included 100-meter dashes, sumo-wrestling, ramen-eating contests, and even Rock, Paper, Scissors. Guy serves as a perfect antithesis for Kakashi in personality, appearance, and technique. Unlike Kakashi, Guy had to work hard to achieve success as a ninja and mainly uses taijutsu. Kakashi, on the other hand, uses mainly ninjutsu and other techniques he copies with his Sharingan.

Kakashi's personal life appears to be as much of a mystery as the face behind the mask he has worn for most of his ninja career. He has no living family, or at least none he cares to acknowledge, and he's confirmed that everyone he loves is already dead. He is immediately recognizable as the son of (or mistaken for) the "White Fang of Konoha" (木ノ葉の白い牙, Konoha no Shiroi Kiba), Sakumo Hatake, his deceased father. Though his face has never been seen, episode 101, which is devoted to Team Kakashi trying to remove their sensei's mask, implies that he is in fact quite handsome.

According to official handbook his favorite foods are broiled saury with salt and miso soup with eggplant; his least, Tempura. His favorite word is "Teamwork." His hobby is reading "Icha Icha Paradise."

History

Like his father, whose skills have been compared to that of the Legendary Sannin, Kakashi is considered a genius shinobi, graduating from the Ninja Academy at age 5 and achieving the rank of Chunin at 6. A few years after these accomplishments, Kakashi's father was disgraced by the village for abandoning a mission in favor of saving his comrades, which cost the Land of Fire dearly. Because of the shame he felt, Sakumo committed suicide, leaving Kakashi to bear witness to the event. After his father's suicide, Kakashi began to adhere strictly to the rules of the shinobi – in particular the rule dictating that the success of the mission must come before the well being of one's teammates, causing him to become arrogant, humorless, and by-the-book.

At the age of 13, Kakashi achieved Jonin status. As a reward for his accomplishment, he was assigned to lead his team on a sabotage mission to blow up a bridge in order to prevent Iwagakure forces from entering the Land of Grass, where the enemy could easily mount an attack on Konoha. Shortly after the mission started, Kakashi's team encountered an enemy shinobi and his clones. Kakashi saw this as a good time to test his newly-developed jutsu One Thousand Birds, but could not find the real enemy amongst the clones. After Kakashi's shoulder was slashed by the shinobi in the confusion, the Fourth Hokage had to rescue Kakashi. The Fourth Hokage sternly told Kakashi never to use the jutsu again due to it being so fast that the user couldn't see and prepare for the enemy's counter. Later on, after the Fourth Hokage had left the team to go to the front lines, Kakashi's teammate Rin was captured by enemy shinobi. Obito wanted to save her, but Kakashi said they had to focus on the mission, opting not to make the same mistake his father had. Though Kakashi believed that they had to complete their objective, Obito eventually convinced him that his father had done the right thing, causing Kakashi to join in on the rescue effort.

During their attempt to save Rin, Kakashi lost his left eye as a result of an enemy ninja's attack. To protect Kakashi, Obito awakened his Sharingan, and killed Kakashi's assailant. Soon after saving Rin, Obito again saved Kakashi, pushing him out of the way of another enemy's rock-dislodging attack, but was crushed in the process. As he lay dying, Obito had Rin (a medical ninja) implant his Sharingan eye in Kakashi's damaged eye socket as a gift, thus creating Copy Ninja Kakashi. As his first act, Kakashi avenged Obito by killing the enemy ninja with One Thousand Birds, now perfected with the addition of Obito's Sharingan.

Obito's death profoundly changed Kakashi, and Kakashi adopts many of Obito's traits. One such trait is Obito's concept of teamwork, which is most clearly seen in the way Kakashi tests newly-graduated students hoping to become a squad under him. He uses the bell test to test his students, which requires the three students to get the two bells he keeps on his person. Only those who get a bell get to pass, which would be difficult even with teamwork, as at least one ninja would fail regardless. However, the rule is only a ruse; the point of the test is to foster teamwork and teach the students that some rules need to be broken on occasion. Team 7 is the only team to have realized this and passed the test. Kakashi also inherits Obito's chronic tardiness, due primarily to losing track of time during his frequent visits to Konoha's memorial site, which he visits for Obito's sake.

Ability

As stated by Sakura, Kakashi is the highest-ranking technique specialist in Konoha, and said to be the strongest Jonin in the village by the manga databooks. He tends to focus mainly on ninjutsu though, using his Sharingan to copy the techniques of others and then turn them on their source. However, he is skilled in all three forms of jutsu, having shown his abilities with genjutsu in the bell test with Team 7. Though having shown very little prowess in taijutsu, Naruto commented that Kakashi was more skilled than Rock Lee, who himself is extremely good at it. Kakashi's chakra seems to have a natural affinity to lightning, as shown numerous times throughout the series. Kakashi even openly states so while training Naruto.

Kakashi has his own personal pack of Ninken ("ninja dogs"), which he calls into battle with the Summoning Technique. The dogs were apparently trained by Kakashi, and the smallest one, Pakkun, can even speak. He uses these dogs for tracking purposes, but they can also be used for attack, as seen during his battle with Zabuza Momochi, in which he uses Summoning: Earth Release: Tracking Fang Technique to hold Zabuza still by having the dogs follow Zabuza through the ground by tracking the scent of Kakashi's blood on his sword.

Though Kakashi has copied the majority of his jutsu, his most powerful jutsu is his one and only creation: the One Thousand Birds, a ball of lightning-based chakra held in the hand that can kill in a single hit. Kakashi's current version is known as Lightning Blade, because he is said to have cut through a lightning bolt with it. This version is also more powerful and requires better chakra control, making the two separate, yet still similar, techniques. While the jutsu normally has the downside of leaving the user open to a counter-attack, Kakashi's Sharingan eye allows him to bypass that weakness.

Kakashi's Sharingan eye gives him a significant advantage in battle, as he can copy enemy techniques and use them as his own, as well as track and predict his opponent's movement almost flawlessly. In addition, he can even copy a jutsu that an opponent hasn't used through the Sharingan's hypnotic and suggestive abilities. However, because it is a transplanted eye, his Sharingan eye is always active. While this would not be a problem for an Uchiha, his non-Uchiha blood causes it to use much more chakra than it should. Because of this, he covers it with his forehead protector and only utilizes it in the most dangerous battles. Kakashi's use of the Sharingan is almost as good as that of Itachi Uchiha, though the aforementioned handicaps brought about by the nature of his eye make him weaker in comparison.

Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan

In manga Part II/ Naruto Shippuuden, Kakashi has developed his own variant of the Mangekyo Sharingan, which acts differently than Itachi's. With it, he can manipulate space-time, even to a focus, and utilize it to conduct long range attacks. In its premiere, he managed to sever Deidara's right arm. Later on, when Deidara's clone attempted to blow himself and everyone around him up, he used the Mangekyo Sharingan to send the clone to another dimension. The Mangekyo Sharingan tires Kakashi considerably, and after using it three times he was hospitalized for weeks.

Naruto: Shipuuden

Naruto: Shippūden (疾風伝 lit. Hurricane Chronicles) in the anime and simply Part II in the manga, is set two and a half years after the present timeline in Part I. The new story revolves mainly around Uzumaki Naruto's and Haruno Sakura's new adventures and their search for Uchiha Sasuke after he left Konoha to gain Orochimaru power.

Prelude

To prepare for the eventual confrontation with both Akatsuki and Orochimaru, Naruto leaves the village and undergoes intensive training under Jiraiya. At the same time, Sakura becomes Tsunade's apprentice, and Sasuke trains under Orochimaru. Thus, each of the three members of the original Team 7 is now training under one of the Legendary Sannin.

When Naruto returns to the village two and a half years later, he is reacquainted with his friends, who have all risen in rank, leaving him as the only Genin in his age group. Most of his comrades have since become Chuunin(including Shikamaru, Hinata, Lee, Tenten, Kiba, Shino, Choji, Ino and Sakura), while Kankurou,Temari and Neji have become Jonin and Gaara has become the Fifth Kazekage. Jiraiya leaves Naruto with Hatake Kakashi, and along with Sakura, the three of them become a new team. To commemorate, they conduct another bell test, with Naruto and Sakura succeeding this time.

On 10th of February, I went to have my hair dyed at Brand On Street. The owner is a very macho guy, called Brandon...he chose the color for me as i was very confused and don't know which color to dye at that time. I was there at about 10.30am.. Brandon's a great guy, and i mean GREAT! haha..and a good boss..as i know, he's not strict and very friendly.. my hair was dyed by a lovely girl called Nancy as Brandon was too busy cutting hairs... I stayed for more than 3 hours there and left at about 2 plus...and very satisfied with my new color!! and it's chosen by Brandon le...hehe Thanks to Brandon and Nancy from Brand On Street~ Love you guys~

Uzumaki Naruto...

The first time I came across this name was from my brother. He brought back a set of this cartoon episode which he borrowed from his friend. At first, I wasn't really feel like watching it coz I was all crazy about Initial D that time….haha….until one day…I sat in the living with my sister, she was watching Naruto and i kept nagging that i want to watch my Initial D but she ignored me...so I have got no choice but to watch it with her...I remember that time I was watching at where all the ninjas will have to fight with each other as to pass the exam...and then I saw Lee, Rock Lee...

Lee (always in his green elastically suit) is a Shinobi (Ninja) with no talent in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, so he has to rely on his Taijutsu. He is very fast (and I mean damn fast!) and his Taijutsu is very strong. When he was young, he tried very very hard in Taijutsu to become a Shinobi...and that was time he met his teacher, Maito Guy, which he respects and loves.
I think Lee is very cute and sometime kinda funny when he's on mission with Naruto...
In Naruto, there are many cute Ninjas. They are in Genin rank and were dividing into 3 people per group. The main characters are Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. They are in one group. Then there are Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji and Yamanaka Ino. Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino and Hyuuga Hinata are in one group. Rock Lee, Hyuuga Neji and Tenten in one. It's good to have my own lovely cartoon to enjoy once in awhile...my inner child...;P

Ok.........how do i begin......well...first thing in the morning...HEADACHE!!!! I took some medicine to ease my pain...Hmmm..i don't have a hangover, i didn't drink last night..i slept early..the aircond's not too cold..i have my blanket..and why the hell i still have all the stoopit illness.... followed by FEVER!!!!! damn!!...but honestly, i rather have fever than having headache the whole morning..at least fever don't make me feel pain....after that STOMACHACHE!!!! i guess there's something to do with the food i ate yesterday... i went to my boyfriend's sister-in-law place yesterday where they celebrate Christmas with the whole kampung.... I brought along BAMBI...hehe...there were food such as Curry, BBQ chicken, Kurma, fried Bee Hoon, sweet and sour fish fillet, fried mixed vege, BBQ fish, variety of cakes, variety of cookies and drinks...hmmm....i think i had too much of the Kurma and fried bee hoon....(but, it was damn delicious!!) so now..all left is the pain in my stomach...

Crocodile Hunter : EVERYONE'S HERO...(The Crocodiles are crying)

I was at the malay stalls (pasar malam) the other day, searching for old magazines to spend my free weekend.While browsing thru all the mags at tha magazines stall, something caught my eyes. A mags with the title " The Crocodiles are crying", it read, and straightaway i knew it was all about "Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter". I grabbed the mag fast enough before someone take it away, paid for it and headed home.

When i reached home, i sat on the sofa and started to read the magazine i just bought. The first few pages are photos of him and his family. Steve Irwin love for his wife, Terri and kids, daughter Bindi and son Bob was strong. The photos shown in the mags are never-before-seen shots. They were all happy and lovely, (as i read on, i just couldn't held back my tears).

Steve loves all the animals.He was the wildlife warrior, and everyone's hero. He was the quintessential Aussie hero, a fearless khaki-clad adventurer who made friends with everyone through his enthusiasm ans passion for life and the animals of our planet. He taught children and the whole world to love and respect all creatures great and small. Steve liked to talk to the animals and had no fear of them, from lizard to tiger cub. His and Terri's love for each other was an inspiration, built on a shared desire to save the environment and endangered animals, and developed over the 14 years of their wonderful marriage.

When Steve first laid eyes on wife-to-be Terri, he told a friend: 'Mate, it was love at first sight. I hadn't seen any sheilas for a couple of years - I'd been catching crocs.'

It was a whirlwind romance. Steve was impressed by how unladylike Terri was, and she was ecstatic that her love of snakes and cougars wasn't going to scare him off.

They wed in June 1992 and spent their honeymoon catching crocodiles, which became the basis of their TV show The Crocodile Hunter.

But Steve's greatest joy was being a father to Bindi and Bob. His kids were his proudest achievement and he did everything he could to spend quality time with them.

I love to watch his show. The way he talked about the animal, they way he talked to the animals, his funny movement and character and his love for natures, won everyone's heart.

My Daddy was my hero.

He was always there for me when i needed him. He listened to me and taught me so many things, but most of all he was fun.

I know that Daddy has an important job - he was working to change the world so every one would love wildlife like he did. He built a hospital to help animals and he bought lots of land to give animals a safe place to live.

He took me and my brother and my mum with him all the time. We filmed together, caught crocodiles together and love being in the bush together.

I don't want Daddy's passion to ever end. I want to help endangered wildlife just like he did. I had the BEST DADDY in the whole world and i will miss him every day. When i see a crocodile i will always think of him

And I know that Daddy made this zoo so everyone could come and learn to love all the animals.

Daddy made this place his whole life, and now it's our turn to help Daddy.

I have Bambi for more than 2 weeks now, as i have him on the 2nd of December, 2006. He is a gift from my boyfriend. For 2 years, i desperately want a chihuahua very much (well, after i saw Paris Hilton with her pet chihuahua, tinkerbelle). He's such an angel. Everyone loves him dearly. Toilet-training is kinda tough, but after these few days, he manage to understand me now (DON'T POOP HERE, POOP THERE!).

Yesterday i bought him a cute silk kimono, thou it's kinda big (have to wait a few more month), he's just too cute in that clothes, and it's for chinese new year 2007, his first chinese new year with me! And we'll have many many new years together in the future.
